I'm looking to buy a new camera. One that is professional and will help me with my college courses. I plan on taking creative photography so I will need a camera, yet I don't have a clue on which one to buy. So if you know any that would be appropriate or if you think they are just awesome, please tell me. I understand that cameras cost up to $3000, yet i was hoping to stay in the 600-1200 $ zone. So any suggestions would be most appreciated :D

So im getting a new camera soon and im trying to decide which one to get, i want a nikon DSLR but im not to sure which one, i was thinking about the Nikon 14.0MP DSLR Camera With AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm VR Lens Kit (D3100) or the Nikon D90 12.3MP DSLR Camera with 18-105mm VR Lens Kit.
I dont know which one is better, could you guys give me some reviews or what you think about the camera
