sorry im new to this, it also says digital or film work. thanks!

Answer
The T2i is a fully adjustable DSLR (digital Single Lens Reflex) camera but it is not a 35mm. A 35mm SLR would be film.

IMO...the " it must be a 35mm fully adjustable slr camera" would mean film, but if it says " digital or film work"...the T2i should be fine. It just seems odd that the instructor can do both types (film and digital) at the same time.

Can a Minolta 35mm film camera use any minolta made lens?

I'm a new photography student and just wondering if any minolta made lens will work with any minolta camera

Answer
If your Minolta is a member of the SRT or X series (SRT-100, 101, 102, 200, 201, 202; XE-7, XG-7, 9, XD-11, X-700) any Minolta manual focus lens can be used.

If your Minolta is a member of the Maxxum series only Maxxum AF lenses can be used - unless you buy an adapter to allow use of the older manual focus lenses. When Minolta introduced the AF Maxxum 7000 in 1985 they changed from the SR lens mount to the A lens mount.

One nice thing about the Maxxum AF lenses is that they can be used on any Sony DSLR as well.

Cameras like the Leica CL and Minolta CLE were one of the results of the Minolta-Leica technology sharing agreement back in the 1970s and actually used the Leica lens mount although Minolta did make branded lenses in the Leica mount. The CLE and its lenses are fairly rare and expensive.
