So im getting a new camera soon and im trying to decide which one to get, i want a nikon DSLR but im not to sure which one, i was thinking about the Nikon 14.0MP DSLR Camera With AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm VR Lens Kit (D3100) or the Nikon D90 12.3MP DSLR Camera with 18-105mm VR Lens Kit.

I dont know which one is better, could you guys give me some reviews or what you think about the camera

I have been shooting with film for a while now, and I love it. But now I want to try out digital photography, but I don't really know much about which digital cameras are the best. I am not looking to break the bank on a camera, but just a solid camera that will take good pictures. Any help would be great!

I am in the same boat as you; I have narrowed my search to four cameras. I am looking at bodies only right now; I know that you have enough experience to know the lens you want.

Canon EOS 50D, 15.1mp, Sensor 22.3 x 14.9 mm, price range of $640 to $1,200
Canon EOS 7D, 15.1mp, Sensor 22.3 x 14.9 mm, price range of $1,470 to $1,700
