The lens is a 24-105. The time that it does make the noise is when the live display is on or when you want to take a picture. Its not the focusing noise it is this other noise. I tried to do some sample video and the noise was in the background. It sounds like a weird insect flying around kind of noise. Is this normal? What can I do?

It is normal if you have the IS feature turned on or the lens is auto-focusing.
To produce noiseless video, you will have to shut off the IS and auto-focus feature. Both the IS scheme and the auto-focus motor make some noise that is amplified by the cameras body and transfered to the tiny built in microphone on the camera.

canon camcorder lens on 5d mark ii?

i love the quality of the hd movie on the 5d mark ii but the photo lenses aren't right for videos at all.
i don't want to buy a lens and have it not fit so does anybody know if it will? if not what movie lens would? thanks!
