best camera lens cleaning cloth image

i have a sony cyber-shot and i have gotten some smudges on the lens. i need something that would work besides a cleaning cloth made for a camera. anything at home? like a cotton wool bud? or what else??

Its really easy i recently cleaned mine with my eye glasses cloth, or you can use any other cloth like that.
Dont use a tissue or a towel even if it seems soft, that will scratch it. Use those soft clothes that you get when you buy, glasses, or an Iphone.

I just got a new SLR camera for my birthday and i can't seem to keep the lens clean but everything i have tired to clean with doesn't really seem to work... Any suggestions??

You can get a lens cleaner at a camera store. Or you can go to a local optomitrist for a lens cleaner cloth. Usually will give you microfiber that won't scratch the glass. Then you get a filter to fit your over lens. Skyfilter is a good inexpensive one. It will protect your lens from dust, scratches and being cracked if you run into something.
Never ever use a t-shirt, towel or some other kind of rough material. It can scratch your lens. Only use a camera lens cleaner luquid if it's dirty and cloth wiping doesn't clean it. Liquid can slip inside and then mold will grow inside your lens killing it.
